It definitely is fear porn if 1 in 5 people who are infected will be fighting for their life. It aint no joke!

It doesn’t mean that that the other 21% die, it just means they are beyond mild.

Also if you look at the graph below of total cases we can see it’s beginning to level out over the past week or so, so it is possible it has peaked, whatever this thing is.

We can hope it mutates into a less contagious form and eventually burn itself out

If you go down further on that page, there are only 47 serious cases outside of China.

You are using numbers based on China (not even getting into real or not) but China has had some of the worlds worst air pollution for decades. That stuff has damaged lungs and lowered immune systems. All the old dying have been breathing in that horrible stuff for like 30-40 years.

Also the numbers from now on are going to be BS like SARS was for this that I came across yesterday. Not going to post the link as I no doubt might get banned for a no likey link but the text will take anyone to where it comes from.

The Chinese government has added a new category of infections to the total number of COVID-19 cases. So far there were two published categories. 'Suspected cases', which were people who may have come in contact with the virus and showed flu symptoms, and 'confirmed cases' of patients who fell ill and where the virus was found during tests.

Now people who show signs of pneumonia will be added to the confirmed COVID-19 cases even when the tests do not find the nCov19 virus in their body. The same criteria will retroactively apply to the number of dead. People who died while showing signs of pneumonia are now counted as COVID-19 casualties even when their virus tests were negative.

No but 4 in 5 it’s not bad IS good news and means I’m inclined to live my life normally ( but certainly more aware) and not walk around with mask and gloves on in constant fear.

Was thinking to just accept that due to its very contagious (airborne) nature would probably just get it and tough through it in next year or two.

Again, interesting the low stars on all my posts regarding how this thing is not the end of the world as many here think.

Obvious conclusion is that some are pulling for it to be.

There are threads on here claiming people recover and then a few weeks later drop over dead. Like the disease is still festering inside them.

Yeah, maybe in very rare cases.

the vast majority of corona cases are not reported and death of heart attacks (young people under 45, 70% of deaths) arent reported at all.

If I told you that you have a 5% chance of dying today if you left the house, would you?

Since it's nothing worse than the flu, and most people only get mild symptoms...China can cancel all the precautions and stop spraying the streets.

People can go back to work because if they get the coronavirus it won't be much more than a cold.

How silly of the largest world economy to cause such chaos over a virus that only gives people mild symptoms.
