The ICS-EF was launched on the STS-127 mission (2J/A) in July of 2009, and was attached to the Exposed Facility Unit (EFU)-7 where it was in service until August of 2017. This popped in many threads this week, I really think is impolite to start a new thread for sharing a news or video without checking if it was previously posted. Anyway, in another thread I became really worked out about this, but as I found it so interesting I kept looking until I realize it was something scheduled and known. Yet the story is still propagating through the web. That’s why I hate short attention span people, they can’t pursue a topic for long enough to get really to know what I they talking abou. Anyway here is the thread I followed and in which I commented and posted a video with the explanation (which’s authorin turn assumed it had been a cubesat only to later acknowledge that it was the Japanese experimental module being discarded).
