Ohio: COVID-19 Coronavirus

After seeing the universities and the governors’s speech today I informed my manager that I would work from home. It is something I told them weeks ago would likely become necessary due to my family situation.

I agree with the plea from the state to help reduce transmission routes. My job is on a computer anyways so I can WFH without issue.

I know many cannot do this. But if you can, I encourage you to consider doing the same.

Such strange times. It has all happened so quickly. I continually flip back and forth between “this is really happening” and “maybe I’m just crazy”.

My kid had a field trip scheduled to visit a local college, got cancelled today

She said teachers at her high school are talking about the possibility of the school shutting down soon

Police respond to massive crowd near University of Dayton after classes canceled due to coronavirus

UD kids do that over everything. Why any parent would pay for their kid to go there and drink and party themselves to death is beyond me.

I am in Hilliard....they have just postponed my kids school play. Yesterday they cancelled the Dublin St. Pats parade and our new 20 million dollar bridge grand opening.

Just heard a rumor DeWine is going to cancelling all indoor events in his speech at 2:00pm.

Not closing schools yet.

One visitor per day nursing homes. Keep log of those who enter. I visited a friend Monday and had to sign in and say I had no symptoms.

Not today, but shortly issuing an order about mass gatherings.

This is more doomy than I had hoped for.

Sounds like they will be forbidding even outdoor events. Because of the community spread case it makes all decisions more extreme.

Dang. He's basically saying not to wait for the ban, start restricting now. Don't go anywhere or so anything that isn't necessary.

I know. Nobody was even there. Just a book that I could have easily walked right past. I had to write no under fever, cough,etc.

I work in a hospital system. I'm not patient facing. They are developing their plans for tent triage and drive-thru testing. I was glad to see they are preparing for worst case scenarios.
