has it gone away completely, or are there still residuals in your lungs?

I was pretty sick with an upper respiratory virus in November of last year. They never tested me and everyone in my family got sick. The thing is, I eventually recovered, but two of my kids ended up with pneumonia and one had to be hospitalized for a week.

Several of us at work had a cold / virus around and during Christmas week. Funny thing is, I came down with similar symptoms a month later. The cold / virus had similar characteristics to coronavirus symptoms that I'm currently hearing about.

Was sick with Corona symptoms early this month (bad cough and high fever). 3 weeks later I feel much better but the cough still persists. Now my throat is sore and raw from all the coughing I think. My city has no confirmed cases yet.

If I had gone to the doctor there's no way they would've tested for Covid and probably just diagnosed me with viral illness aka flu.

same here...work with a few folks who had it, still have it, and their kids had to be hospitalized as well for pneumonia.

I dunno I went out one night to toys r us and was thinking shit there is no way I can get it and the odds of seeing some Chineser is low.
Well fuck me if some chinese lady didnt start coughing around me when we were just about to leave. Next day I came down with a cold. I wanted to smash her face in. In retrospect I should have taken her picture.
That was 2 weeks ago and now I hear there are 2 confirmed cases in the next town over from me in Ajax Ontario.
This is crazy.

I had it over Thanksgiving. It went right to my lungs. I had a fever and chills when I first got it so I know it was the flu. Funny thing, though, I rarely ever get the flu. One of my students came in sick and coughed right on me. Nothing I could do. It took a good long while to get over and even now I sometimes cough a bit - three months?!!

That's what worries me about getting Coronavirus. I'm just better after that bout of the flu - my resistance could be weak still.

i was sick few months ago , took antibiotics twice , mucinex , anti allergy , cough medicines and even asthma meds and none of them helps. I have no fever but the phlegm , the cough , the colds , shortness of breath , tired , wheezing is killing me for 5-6 weeks until i took ACV pills from costco and get a good humidifier also . ACV says take 2 tablets a day , i took 2 tablets but the next day increased it to 4 and on the 3rd day , i felt so much better and i continued with 4 and stopped all my meds and i got better!

With an R/o of eight - maybe higher - there is the mathematical possibility that 70 to 80 % of the population is ALREADY INFECTED.

Incubation WHILE shedding of up to 90 days (according to the Chinese testing) and SELF RE-INFECTION once "cured" and released into the general population.

Of course OUR politicians are expressing deep CONCERN. For the spread of the virus? No. they're nattering on about OUR xenophobia and bigotry against Chinese.

ANyway - to add 2+2 here with that high we need to be cautious / fear EVERYBODY these days. Almost everybody you look at COULD ALREADY BE INFECTED.
