UK COVID-19 Action Plan - doesn't say a lot?

I think its obvious from the pressie that they know what the worse case will be.

They are very worried about the peak of infection/cases/hospitalisations and they seems to be their focus.

How they will do that is not in the plan!

Just had email from my daughters school with this plan attached.

The lack of content implies this is more of a stalling panic situation than anything else.

Also implied with the quesiton dodging of the NHS question coupled with the complete lack of explanations of how they will achieve any of the things they have set out.

Ive always felt that Bo Jos ethos is one of just telling the public whatever they want to hear and acting the clown so theyll just leave him alone. Definitely not a transparent government and that seems to be reflected by this "plan"

Even mentioned 1918 in press conference why bother with that if this thing is fine and dandy

I have spoken to many of my friends about this (or tried) and have been met with nothing but contempt to be honest.

Noone knows I come on GLP, im not a prepper and I've never bigged up any other situations that turned into nothing like ebola (not that theres anything wrong with any of those things).

My point is that they have no reason to discount what I say based on their opinions of me. I have friends who work in government positions, doctors, salesmen, bartenders and a range of others and noone thinks this is a real issue.

My friend who is a doctor quite aggresively disagreed that this is more dangerous than the flu based on CFR's even when I showed them evidence.

Theyre even going skiing in Northern Italy next week and their only concern is that the hospital will ask them not to work for 2 weeks! This is coming from a doctor.

No matter what happens, whether this gets as bad as Spanish Flu or whether it gets contained, it has already been a serious pandemic and it is insane how little people care.

Is he a young doctor?
I feel older people(some of them) will see what's coming.
But going skiing in northern Italy is utter madness or utter ignorant and selfish and putting people here at risk

If only most of us could afford to go skiing - have you seen the cost!!!

Haha completely agree! Ive started calling this the posh plague, as its all the people whove been off skiing for half term who have brought it here.

He is a young doctor, I personally have been using Dr John Campbell on youtube as the canary for how seriously I should be taking this and he seems to be getting more and more worried.

It's much ado about nothing, it seems.

In other news, a student from Singapore was allegedly attacked last Monday on Oxford Street, after people shouted at him regarding coronavirus. The Met Police are investigating. I wonder if there were any witnesses... I just found the timing interesting.

you should get a little more thicker gloves than surgical ones. in that way you can use them multiple times. do not count on getting it. we still do not know what is mortality from this. it could be 100% in long enough timeline.
