Its amazing how much difference does the change in government makes. Back in 2015 when lefty Syriza was in power they were just letting them through, there was no resistance. Now in 2020 they're beating the NGO's and making them pack and leave the islands. Locals are tearing down construction of new migrant centers and so on. Army and police actively on border defending. There's no cries from media either about the poor people. Strangely no one complains about human rights. I'm under impression if Greeks would start shooting tomorrow it would be no big deal. Austrians and Hungarians are firmly on Greek side, Bulgarian border should be impermeably sealed. Most of the Balkan states got right wing in power. I'm pretty confident Balkan route will stay closed.
