I read a pretty convincing article a couple weeks ago and other incidental ones since that lead me to believe that at least some of the cases are actually tuberculosis.
The x-rays I saw look like a person with it. The claims of people getting into coughing jags and spitting blood sounds like it. I think it to be more tenacious strain going around and you want to terrify people just talk about bloody lungs and sputum. I looked and I think there were about 10,000 new cases reported each year.

Then there's regular flu going around. I don't think they would have a hard time finding patients to say oh it's this novel virus. There are all sorts or more virulent strains of everything with the travel, the resistent to anti-biotic treatment diseases. I just found it odd that here there were polls and threads asking if anybody knew anybody who had "it". Then within hours there were a deluge of my son's friend's brother's wife stories. But, as far as I know no poster is claiming it seriously.
