My country is under declared catastrophe, law and order handled to military, and all borders closed.

If that's not doom, I don't know what Doom is.

doom would be on if there were no lockdowns

Yes and no.

The virus in terms of pandemic/mortality/comorbidity et al. isn't the biggest deal. Sort of a SARS momemtum.

The reaction this go around is much different, and has created a world wide wave. People are being prepared for a scenario much worse than this virus, methinks.

Whether it be another virus, economic collapse, asteroids, quakes and volcanoes, or aliens, or all of the above, people will readily accept martial law, police state, quarantines, if need be, as evidenced by the last several months.

Time to eat your tomatoes!
