Not me. We're past the precipice with this shitstorm. We've passed many precipices over the years: our innocence, world population, global economy, climate change, societal ethics. This list goes on.

In time life will begin to look like it used to look. We'll do some of the things we so casually did before the virus hit. But we will never go back to the innocence where we didn't believe such a thing could happen her - and certainly not one that could kill half of us.

Those that survive this pandemic should remember to thank God for their precious gift of life that has been bestowed upon them not once, but TWICE. Remember to thank God for that gift.

If not normal, possibly a new normal.

Maybe what we've been in all these years isn't normal but the aftermath will be.

Yes, life will change drastically.

This will not be over in a few weeks.

The economic damage is already pretty bad and will get far worse. Not even FED unlimited money printing will turn out around.

This is a brutal wake up call to many. Stop buying stupid shit you don't need, build a little safety net in case you are out of work for extended time.

Some businesses even with best bailout attempts will be going under. Many jobs will go away and not return until people feel safe again. Safe enough to piss money away on shit they don't need.

2 years before anything resembles normal again.

People will:
Keep their same car longer
Not Take home equity loan to wastefully remodel their house
Not move into more house than they can afford
Fly way less
Not go on cruises
Not replace something they already have a working one of.
Care a bit less about impressing neighbors and friends
Be way more hesitant about going to big events

Gov will:
Get way less income tax revenue
Get way less sales tax revenue
Be forced to cut back on expenses like new equipment, vehicles, buildings, contracts, Personnel
Raise taxes because they can't be expected to live within a budget like everyone else
Reduce services to the people they are supposed to serve
Start a war because it will be the only way for them to get more money

In many ways, ' normal' was wayyyyyyy overdue for an overhaul.

It will suck. Millions will die and have complications until they die.

Then

It will get better.

Two years is my latest guess after comparing clinicals. Spoiler: early clinical reports from China are being praised for their effectiveness by ER docs.

If you get it, make sure you express that you wont consent to steroids unless its a last palative resort. Stay 'dry'...keep a safe fever. Sleeeep. A lot of playbooks on this are being scrapped because of how aggressive and sneaky COVID is.

Stay inside. Do not fucking get this.

The sheer timeframe we're looking at where things are ass over tits, is a very unstable place to be for long.

The world at large is...typically a very hostile place when things aren't stable. And boyos, we are not stable and won't be for some time.

My gut is telling me to expect some more layers of shit on this shit sandwich before it's all said and done. Maybe that's my age telling me that. But I've never seen a world more ripe for some sneak attack or hostile takeover than I'm seeing it right now.

I'd love to be a bleeding heart here and say this will bring Humanity together in ways we never have before, I do want that, but I also just know better. I see absolute chaos on the horizon if I'm being honest, that's what I'm prepared for because that's honestly what I think this will lead to at least for awhile.

Again not because I want that, but just because I've been around long enough to smell this sort of thing. We're being actively fleeced right now in broad daylight and entering uncharted territory in terms of debt and failing economies worldwide, I can only say that the outlook remains very shitty with a chance of being the great shitstorm of our time. That's what my magic 8 ball is returning to me when I peer into it.

Normal might be something we tell in our folklore at this point. Halcyon days of yore we reminisce about where we were spoiled for choice and enjoyed many more freedoms.

But in the end, hard times breed tough men. We're in the end of that cycle where easy times breed soft men and soft men create hard times. This is what it looks like.

If it's a judgment from God, with no repentance, expect more plagues, nuclear war and mass genocide as the slate is cleaned.

Other than that I wouldn't be alarmed.

Oh yeah, it's just a smidge of global nuclear war in response to biowarfare. That'll come right out in the wash.

I kind of hope we don't go back to how things were exactly.

There was too much hate in the world. Its time that changed, I hope this brings more people together both in communities and across the world.
