Stinging Nettle and Skullcap both have more studies showing them to be effective, however, you also don't want to risk an allergic reaction to something you haven't taken before.

For example, as long as you get a trust-worthy brand, Melatonin won't have life-threatening side effects. It also will cost you ~ $7 for decent brand, not $40.
