Reports now that Wifi internet from major companies experiencing outages

There appears to be an outage on the T-Mobile network. The reason is unknown at this time however the outage appears to be nationwide and specifically LTE. If you have no service you can temporarily turn off LTE and HSPA+ will likely still work.

Yeah, could be traffic, everyone at home and playing games, streaming, browsing GLP, etc

Aside from a deliberate turning off of services and a cyber attack, I am also thinking solar activity.

Wonder if its not possible for a surge is solar radiation or odd fluctuations in Earths magnetic field to be interfering with the signal?

Cell phone providers, more and more, do not own their own towers.Of course they do own some of them, but it is cheaper in many instances to rent capacity from a third party. There are companies that own the towers and lease space/capacity to the major carriers. If these towers go down then that could account for multiple providers having an outage. However a single tower serves a small geographic area.

In the same fashion carriers will lease capacity on the fiber networks of other carriers. For example Sprint, Verizon and T-mobile will lease bandwidth on ATT's fibers. ATT maintains much of the transport infrastructure that these other carriers rely on.

This is common. In the transport area much of the service that runs on fiber is redundant. This means there is typically a back up. The caveat is that the cell providers have to pay for this redundancy. If they choose not to pay for that feature (in some cases it is not offered) then, shit happens.

Our company just had a major outage for about one hour, we are asking if Cloudflare went down also, briefly.
