Digestive symptoms first sign of coronavirus
For some people infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, the first sign of illness is gastrointestinal symptoms, particularly diarrhea, according to a study published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology on March 30.

Although most COVID-19 patients first exhibit a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat, digestive symptoms also occur in patients with mild disease severity. The study found that those who exhibit digestive symptoms early on may be more likely to develop respiratory symptoms fever later

This clears it up for me..I thought the gastrointestinal issues were just symptoms of hypercapnia and acidosis.

Yes.... But it dose not hurt to stay ahead of the curve with this.... Best to keep all the warning signs at the fore front.... It may just help someone.
IF YOU HAVE A FEVER DO NOT LOWER IT WITH MEDS.... A FEVER IS AN IMMUNE SYSTEM RESPONSE TO A PATHOGEN (VIRUS, BACTERIA ETC..) IT MEANS YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY....DONT USE DRUGS TO LOWER YOUR TEMP.

Hmmm... interesting...

Those are some of the exact same symptoms I had back in January along with my "Flu" I had...

It was the worst flu I had ever experienced I have to say... i haven't been that ill before in my life...

I had a fever of 107 at one point too... no coughing but a sore, itchy throat with a feeling something is lodged in there? It's hard to describe... I was too ill to even research at the time...

I found I got an UTI also... I'm guessing this could have had something to do with my mystery "flu" I had... heart palpitations and major migraines....

I literally felt like I was about to die...

The more I read into these symptoms, the more I'm convinced I've already been exposed to this virus...

May not have yet but the coincidence is awful uncanny with my symptoms etc...

I still don't feel completely 100% today from that flu...

Renal issues is another sign (could be related to the UTI)....

Also with Covid... the temrature may also have been quite erratic...

I would suggest a test when they come out...the one that tests for antibodies.... That way you will know for certain.

It may even be in the food?

Here, in the UK, we've had some "news" circulating around that some of our grocery store fresh fruit and veg are heavily contaminated by the virus...

My illness (whatever it was) happened in January this year...

All I was eating/drinking at the time was fruits and vegetables... juicing them and eating them...

Then I come down ill with the worst flu I've ever had, with a myriad of symptoms all at once... it just doesn't make sense to me...

I believe this virus was already here way before purported...

That's what I was wondering... the UTI thing was another symptom...

I'm not sure I'd be eligible for testing as I haven't traveled lately or whatever the criteria is that needs to be met for testing...

Besides, I'm not wishing to be locked up into one of their quarantines... you seen those things where they put you? Lol...

I'm self isolating as I have a young boy too, who, btw, isn't or hasn't shown any symptoms yet so far...

That is very strange... I'm hoping it stays that way for him...

Re: Digestive symptoms first sign of coronavirus
The only real symptoms I haven't had is the chest pain/coughing... which I am quite surprised about if I did contract the virus as I have bronchitis/asthma...

I am really in two minds wether it was/is the Covid-19 virus I had/have...my young child hasn't had it...

I just don't know what to think anymore...

I’m sure they will expand the symptoms so every time you fart you need a coronavirus test.

Re: Digestive symptoms first sign of coronavirus
I am sure the "flu" we had in February was Clovid 19. Had about two weeks of digestive issues before the fever started. I still have a corona cough and still no voice. Seems to have long lasting damage.
