Yeah no shit, I was watching a ton of flights going out of there. I was so mad I called a senator in my state, Ohio, Jim Jordan, shortly thereafter Trump shut down flights. Dont think your voice doesn't matter, you do actually have to speak up sometimes and do something, besides posting and reading GLP posts, just saying. Not saying I had anything to do with it, but I did speak my mind to my duly elected official. Jim Jordan is a badass, btw.

Almost impossible. If they didn't enter directly, they flew to Europe then flew into the USA. The virus was new. If a person was asymptomatic, it was assumed they were fine. They eventually stopped flights out of Wuhan, but many people from Wuhan had already traveled to Beijing or Shanghai....then to all parts of the world.

Also, does anyone even realize how many Americans travel to China on business? Thousands every day. Many live there, so they might have been coming back to the USA.

The smoking gun is that when some countries started to limit certain flights from China (those from the regions under lockdown), China acted all upset about it and called it a "non-constructive attitude".

Dude, enough about where it started; co vid viruses have been a cooperative research program for years. Academia works with different attitudes and borders. Trump was at least a month late suspending flights from China, and then a month late suspending from Italy and the rest of Europe.
