Nowadays, I'm in love with the drums/space portion. Sometimes it's mellow, sometimes it's downright scary! But having Mickey and Billy bustin' ass is now such a treat, I will specifically listen to those segments now, just to blow [what's left of] my mind...

True.... actually from 82-85 he was pretty far gone. He had a stroke and forgot how to play music, actually. Merle Saunders helped him re-learn the guitar, which I give MAD PROPS to Merle because Jerry kinda dumped him after Reconstruction (a jazz-psychedelic band from '79) and they didn't speak for many years.

But Merle Saunders literally held his hands, and played piano, while Jerry re-learned the guitar. I will NEVER forget Merle's kindness and love, and it's a great story.

Also a cool story... in 1983 Jerry and the Boys played in the city of my birth... on my freakin' Birthday, the very night I was born, in the city I was born!!!
