Not necessarily in reference to the greeks. All my life people said philosophy is useless and will never serve a purpose. Those people are miserable. I am a happy well adjusted person. Dont study philosophy. Do it for yourself and put it into practice. You will avoid many of the pitfalls of life that so many become trapped in. Develop your own ideas. Dont implement the ideas of others because they are popular or widely accepted. Those are more of the same traps.
