The numbers are not matching the old predictions because everyone is in lockdown now. That's basic logic man.

That being said, it's sad if they pull that movie (perhaps they had to cancel it, perhaps someone in it passed away, perhaps they decided that people were anxious enough without putting out a disaster movie, which would be rather insensitive)

Look at the netflix movie charts. People are excited about movies with mass extinction. I kind of find it odd they pulled it but actually that’s just a side story.

Some weeks ago there were tons of trailers, now, you only find altered versions with strange effects to bypass the YT filter algorithm.

For anyone reading this thread, this is probably the 10th thread about this movie in the last couple weeks. Movie promoters are tying to pretend the movie trailer is being censored (it isn't) just to get more people to watch the trailer and build word of mouth hype for the movie.

We are on the brink of a major space catastrophe. All the wealthy and THEIR governments are placing themselves in a position to continue their dominance IF WE SURVIVE the catastrophe.

CETI was shut down just 2-3 days before my government office closed for the virus.

Was a big red flag to me.

Every nearby asteroid pass is a concern after what happened in Russia in 2013.

Our local astronomer doesn't seem to be worried until some unmentioned event 5-6 months from now.

Forced to shutdown due to the current lockdown/non essential situation? OR Forced to shutdown because all of the sudden starting 3 days ago a magic asteroid appeared and they could see it?

The latter obviously sounds a bit foolish because asteroids dont just "appear" if whart you are suggesting is true than all observatories will need to be shut down for months and that even under the assumption an asteroid is flying THAT FAST to reach us in months from outside our solar system.

Critical systems that constantly watch for situations like this are still running, still online and still being managed and watched by people not just computer software.

Just because your local astronomers club was shut down doesn't mean everything else is, I really am interested in this topic but guys give us something to go on.
