WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT...
I saw this on a friend's page and just had to share.
Perspective.
WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT...
I heard it said that we are all in the same boat, but it's not like that. We are in the same storm, but not in the same boat. Your ship could be shipwrecked and mine might not be. Or vice versa.
For some, quarantine is optimal: a moment of reflection, of re-connection, easy in flip flops, with a cocktail or coffee. For others, this is a desperate financial & family crisis.
In some homes a sole occupant faces endless loneliness. In others, family members are getting peace, rest, and time with each other — while in still others, quarantine means an increased danger due to domestic violence.
With the $600 weekly increase in unemployment some are bringing in more money to their households than they were working. Others are working more hours for less money due to pay cuts or loss in sales.
Some families of 4 just received $3400 from the stimulus while other families of 4 saw $0.
Some were concerned about getting a certain candy for Easter while others were concerned if there would be enough bread, milk and eggs for the weekend.
Some want to go back to work because they don't qualify for unemployment and are running out of money. Others want to kill those who break the quarantine.
Some are home spending 2-3 hours/day helping their child with online schooling while others are spending 2-3 hours/day to educate their children on top of a 10-12 hour workday.
Some have experienced the near death of the virus, some have already lost someone from it and some are not sure if their loved ones are going to make it. Others don't believe this is a big deal.
Some have faith in God and expect miracles during this 2020. Others say the worst is yet to come.
So, friends, we are not in the same boat. We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different.
Each of us will emerge, in our own way, from this storm. It is very important to see beyond what is seen at first glance. Not just looking, actually seeing.
We are all on different ships during this storm experiencing a very different journey.

Tomorrow and the delusions of some day. But this is our life. Maybe we have come to the choice of being Here2Help or not. This isn't a dress rehearsal. You can see how those around you respond. And look at them when this is over with, with, a different lens. Reexamine those who you thought were friends no matter, of socio-economic differences and see who acted to help.

Who hauled in those on the lifeboats that were weaker then those as the wave crashed? Who drank champagne with a private tiller man and offered not a hand. I know a lot of old skool pot growers who are burning through their money to help all those around them in dingy's that are about to capsize. Not because they fear the wrath of the peasantry. But because they care about their communities.

This is a test. A test of the mettle of those that are around you. You can smell the fear from those who scream 'the government said'...avoid those things like the plague. Then you find these others all bobbing abut on the great sea of unknowing, and it is in that interaction that you will find tomorrow's world for you.
If you are not busy weaving your own magick, you are trapped in anothers spell.
“It’s time you realized that you have something in you more powerful and miraculous than the things that affect you and make you dance like a puppet.” – Marcus Aurelius

Re: WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT...
My advice to anyone is plan ahead. Needing government is LAST resort but for so many its first and they feel entitled and want immediately.

All the people going broke over one month of lost wages did not follow recommendations of having 6 months expenses saved up.

Live within your means. Stock up on at least 2 to 4 weeks of dry goods. Keep some cash on hand. The more running to the Government the more it validates what they are doing and makes it easier to pull the wool over the masses.

This is a reality check for all citizens of America.

Im in this with myself, my family, a few close friends and maybe GLP?? Thats about it. Im not in this with people who have lost their resilency.

I touched on this before this is all just part of a playbook and right now we are on defense. We know the exact play word for word so lets react accordingly. This cant go on much longer. No way did I go to school for 15+ years, work for 16 years, and pay a ton of taxes to watch my country become a 3rd World.

The Summer of Trump will reinvigorate this nation and any Democratic Governor who tries to get in the way tell them to fuck off. This is the biggest Witch Hunt in human history and one by one the lies will be exposed.

T I A - This is America. Home of the Free. And im not talking about the Masons.

Re: WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT...
Interesting observation.

My own little boat is doing great. No problems whatsoever. Oh wait, there was no fresh yeast in the store, so I had to buy store bread instead of making my own. The hardship.

Meanwhile, some little boats are sinking.
