I’m 15 minutes away and Salisbury beach is trashy along with Seabrook right next door. There’s a nuclear plant so which means it’s affordable
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11038849 What he said. My family visited for years. Stopped when the junkies needles and medical waste started washing up. Riptides at Salisbury are downright nasty. Me and my cousin got yanked out and almost lost our lives at 7yo Hampton Beach is right up the road anyway. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22263566 If you own a home there and pay taxes you think this is fair? No matter what the condition of the beach is, people pay taxes and have the right to running water Quoting: ~kpm~ Seasonal Homes, to be exact. That's what they are talking about. Let's get that straight from the start. No, not fair, but the season is not open yet and town council is trying to dissuade folks from coming in so that the same thing that happened in Nantucket and parts of Cape Cod don't happen in Salisbury, which is a poor town to begin with. By the time end of May rolls around they will start opening stuff. Better to keep YEAR ROUND RESIDENTS safe than it is to cow tow to some ninny who thinks he is safe in his seasonal rental, No ??? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22263566 No, IMO, if you own a house and pay taxes you should be able to occupy that home at any time you wish If they have seasonal rules that homeowners have to follow, they should not restrict them Homeowners should be asked to shelter in place upon arriving at their home The risky groups should be the ones quarantined not the healthy
