My friends older mother (near 80) and brother tested positive. They drank gatoraid and got a lot of rest. They are both doing better. Don't let fear over come you OP. Even if you have it - does not mean its a death sentence.

.

When mine got over 102.3 - I used prescription strength naproxen. Think 2 otc at once. That knocked it down. Later ( more than 12 hrs) when the fever returned to 102 otc strength didn’t work. Had to another otc strength, about 3.5 hours later. Cuz 102 is wet.

I don’t drink alcohol. Hubs can’t take those strengths cuz he drinks.

Nice tepid shower, too.

Re: I'm running a fever. I live out in the country...
If you live in the country, a warm-weather fever is much more likely to be a tick-borne illness than CoV19, and the treatment is a couple of weeks of doxycycline.

If you really suspect Cov19, do not take anything for fever except tylenol. The NSAIDS are associated with the cytokine storm that kills.

Hey I may be completely wrong. I am always defensive. No, idea to be honest. I'll update tomorrow morning. I'm not trying to freak anyone out or myself. Just posting on the forum. I check my temperature everyday and this was the first time I've been over 99% since i've been taking it. So, it's problably nothing, but it could be. I have no idea. Just running a small fever.

Who knows? The thermometer may be off (its new), i could have just been hot from being outside, or I could be having a fever that leads to covid.

Just posting.

Re: I'm running a fever. I live out in the country...
I thought I may have had it or still do, not sure, they won't test unless you are about to die. Have had a cough for about a week now, but no fever. Trouble getting my breath off and on. More arrhythmia in the past week than I can remember in a very long time.

Called my Dr., they said call Covid hotline, called them, and they said without a fever they didn't think it would be covid. Said it was ok to keep working but to wear a mask if I went to other areas of my office around the coworkers.

Called back to my Dr., she called me in an inhaler and said to take mucinex every day and to come in if I didn't get better.

Felt a lot better yesterday, then a setback today. I hope whatever this is, is over soon.

Yep. I thought I may have had it previously, without ever having a fever about a month ago, just terrible chest pains after being around it. But never had a fever. So who knows? Goodluck to you, sir. Bit anxious, feel free to update on this thread. I'll be here to check.
