Fakebook and Twitler are the sewers of the internet. No independent thought allowed. In fact, if you've had a Fakebook or Twitler account and HAVEN'T been suspended yet, you're doing something wrong.

A Twitler account, for me, lasts 3 days at most.

Are you depressed?

I closed mine 3 days ago. Fed up with the fake friends and FB's censoring.

Apart from a handful of people (who have my contact details), I won't miss it.

I'd say it's the opposite. Those who engage in social media on the regular are more likely depressed than those who don't. In fact, there's been multiple independent studies that support my assumption indicating that those who do not have social media accounts live more fulfilling, meaningful lives with less depression.

I closed my Facebook account 3 years ago and recently went to make a fake account to check out this local group I was curious about. They knew right away it was me, wouldn’t allow me to make a fake account but my old one was still there even though I had deleted everything years ago. It was so eerie signing on and seeing all the same people, the same types of “look at me” posts, and it was sad to know my real life friends were all still fully participating in this soul-sucking, data-mining waste of life. It seems my account will be there forever no matter what. I fucking hate that creepy, satanic company.

Congratulations. I wish more would do the same.
Never got involved in facebook, or Twitter because I researched the background

It’s just a way for people to spy on other people who they wouldn’t otherwise have a connection with. And it makes people unhappy because they compare their life with the absolute best moments of other people’s lives.

Stay off of it and you’ll be better off.
