If a big one was to happen in that vicinity, Mexico and Hong Kong could be in the firing line of a tsunami

NZ is getting a lot of minor quakes in the last 24 hours, more than usual.
The lower north island and specifically the east coast from castle point north. Hope it settles down and it’s northing.

Re: Earthquake Swarm - HAWAII
The small stuff seems to be happening near Hawaii. Indonesia and Greece seem to be getting the bigger stuff. That makes sense. Hawaii does not sit on the edge of a plate, whereas the others do.....BUT still significant, because it suggests that underneath the plates...something is rumbling...and it is not "pleasant." BIG bad things could happen soon.

The ones in Hawaii are off shore and appear to be in a grid.

Nope, just checked. Its on a shelf that could give way. Could be the start of something major. If a shelf goes, MAJOR Tsunami.

Pin, this could get very interesting, looks like a good chunk of the shelf is destabilizing, could give way. Could be the start of a new island like an earlier post said. A volcano trying to push through forcing the shelf to collapse?

In a way. Thats the new island forming out there. See those other islands going north and west? This is how they were born.

Re: Earthquake Swarm - HAWAII
Now with that being said there was road repair to highway 11 this week, but when i passed i saw a guy in a hole up to his neck and he could have extended both arms and not reached either edge. Now theres a super crappy plate over the hole but its about 8 inches below grade so its super bumpy at 45.

Anyway that part of the road was gone. Right along the crater rim, headed to south point.. And they had survey teams out measuring and painting lines and shit. About 50 trucks up there working on it.

So thats bad. I expect they will close the highway, its all painted up.

Plus theres been a bit of sulpher smell some mornings. But thats always been the case since the lailani thing.

So yeah. Worlds most active volcano. Still puking out lava. Its what it does. Im prdtty sure the island moved over the hotspot enough that its found a more favorable path out. Now the old vent has a little lake and the land is like deflating. Again. Like all the other islanin the chain have done.

Probably nothing to get excited about.

Hawaii is a chain of active volcanic islands, and quakes are COMMON there.

THIS 'swarm' is about 30 miles South of the big island, on the shelf, not near any active volcano, OR people.
