I would like to say something.

Hmmm...this wasn't an apology but I'm curious.

You know, this site catches a lot of flak, lots of dissenting opinions and shit talk, a lot of ugliness, but there are rare gems dropped, and rarer people.

I have met many awesome people here, and I can honestly say this site changed my life where nothing else ever seemed to measure up.

Lets all give a shout out to GLP. It changes people, it really does.

Sure its often >80% BS. But the <20% truth has very high value
and the BS helps you consider outlier ideas

It preserves the right to see all the extremes, yet also preserves the right to have no extremes become the norm over any other.

GLP is the people who all come here.

They all feel the vibe. They know amazing lies and amazing truths can show up here at any moment. They know all points of view, within some range of reasonable biasing, can show up here.

It kicks every other forums ass.

As to being a mind control experiment, the tool of the loony-naughty, or a Tavi or SwRI or FBI agitation zone, thats all simply untrue. How would I know? Influence campaigns, sentiment analysis, agitation propaganda, semantic steering, neuro-conditioning, political meme hacking, religious meme hacking, social counter-intelligence ops, info psyops, and all that shit, which I understand quite well, and which in REALITY, can and do from time to time show up here when their agents of interest try to ply their influence tactics in this venue. But so what!

The bottom line is when that shit starts to get too much signal gain, GLP then responds with it's powerful immune system against this stuff succeeding in doping the place! It always throws it off. It resists fatal meme infections. That immune system is made up of folks like Trin, all the great mods, savvy hearts and minds of the many long time participants, and the truly open nature of what is going on here. Exposure to all the germs of extremes actually proofs you up against them being ogres, as well as opens your noodle to new perspectives and possibilities. In that way, GLP is not a conspiracy site but is an honest to goodness truth hashing machine, made up of passionate hearts and minds who actually give a damn, and even welcomes hearts and minds who don't give a shit - yet.

So in truth, GLP is actually quite GODLIKE.... because it seeks humble (and sometimes not so humble) omniscience... the whirlwind of wheat and chaff is it's dance of discovery... One without the other would be a lie. Its real life.

So GLP can actually be quite a healing place, and a place where expression is always more powerful than suppression. And where expression that tries to become suppression gets the boot, whether by mods, by contributors, by hecklers, by reasoners.

Long live GLP. Its just special. Its part of the leading edge of human social evolution. It amplifies and helps detect weak signals on the horizon before they become mainstream. And filters them through all the perspectives of the edgestream. Thats priceless.

And you know, its been that way for many many years, all the way back to it's beginnings.

So is the world. GLP is a snapshot of the Earth's consciousness. Trinity deletes some threads, but mostly he lets people be themselves. This is why GLP gets so much traffic. Most admins jump down your throat. I can't stand it.

And there are gems in the chaos, like OP says. GLP is a mess of writhing emotions flecked with specks of incandescent genius. Just like the world.

I thought I found new friends on another site once...instead they reached through the computer screen and annihilated my personal life and divided my family, with all their friends.

I love the people here, however GLP is teeming with racists, sexists, antichrists, false messiahs, idols, etc.

However it is nice to be able to express oneself.
