If it had been some little 5'2" obvious female or a 10-year-old kid, it would be assumed the male could disarm her easily enough. But if somebody your size or larger comes after you and they have already thrown the first punch, so to speak, well that's their problem to deal with. He obviously didn't want to fight - he even backed up and she kept on coming forward. It doesn't appear he even gat it his all when he hit her. |

She was approaching him aggressively, armed with a weapon, and winding up, to boot. What if he ran and fell, and she beat him to death while he lay fallen. Damn, I hope you never get on a jury. Totally serious, dude. If she was coming at me like that, dragging that long stick on the ground BEHIND HER....I wouldn't even feel threatened. I could have grabbed the stick from her easily, or at least stopped her from getting any type of swing at me. I might be concerned that she would SPIT or BITE. I would have just kept stepping back and stayed away from her. So NOPE, this will not count as legitimate self defense in court. You never wanna "get into it" with someone like that - you wanna get away from them, even if it means running away from them like a little bitch. Running away is usually the best defense, esp. if the only thing at stake is defending yourself against a crazy street person. Like I said, I hope you never get on a jury.
