Several years ago I babysat an iguana named Cleo for the Summer. It was a very interesting experience and a glimpse into the reptilian mind. She was very social, and liked to hang out on top of the curtain rod where she could watch everything going on. She definitely had a sense of humor, because you could almost hear her laughing after she'd dropped down onto some unsuspecting person's shoulder (and scared them half to death!). She was a bit of a princess, and quickly laid claim to all of the South-facing windowsills. Any knick-knacks were summarily dispatched with an imperious sweep of her tail so that she could stretch out in the sun, after which she'd have a whole lot of energy and run around the house.

I actually grew quite fond of her, and it was a bit emotional when her owner returned from his summer-long Europe trip to reclaim her.
