Which NJ shore destination will be safe for a Conservative to visit?

Cape May is always nice. I have a place in Avalon but that’s very very pricey. I prefer the beaches south of Atlantic City.

How tall is the lift on your truck, and will you be traveling with any styrofoam products?

May I, as a native lifelong New Jerseyan, offer a suggestion?

The shore areas you want to ride through are checkerboarded; some won’t care about your Trump gear, others likely will, greatly, possibly to the point of physical altercation. Without living here it’s hard to tell. Around the Cape May area would probably be your best bet’ as it’s touristy and money means more than affiliation.
The Jersey shore in general also gets a lot of New Yorkers who hate Trump with a passion, and you’ll have to deal with them as well as our own left-wing idiots. Leave your bikes unattended for a few minutes with Trump regalia showing and you risk vandalism.
Oh, and whatever you do, leave any guns you have at home; the laws here are unbelievably strict compared to your home state, and any carry permits you might have back home aren’t recognized here. Even long guns are heavily restricted.

Instead of traveling the shore points, how about you travel up here to the northwestern part of the state, comprising Morris, Sussex and upper Passaic counties? Boatloads of Trump supporters here, and some of the prettiest scenery in the state. Many of us here consider ourselves a misplaced extension of Pennsylvania, and don’t really want anything to do with the rest of the state. If you ever come in the fall, we have the best leaf color drives outside of Vermont up this way.

Anyway, just my opinion. Hope you have a great trip, whatever you decide to do.

WOW .. Thank you and it sounds like a plan for us!!!! We've been a lot of different states on the bike but with the COVID and reading about the NJ governor I knew I better ASK for advice.

Can't speak for the southmost portion of the Jersey Shore, but here's the skinny on the rest: Long Beach Island (LBI) has a lighthouse on the north end of a twenty mile long barrier island. Very affluent. Not diverse. But only a single access point, mid-island over a causeway bridge. Further north, on the mainland, Seaside has the classic boardwalk with rides and concessions, and from there you can keep riding north through Lavelette and a series of small bungalow settlements until you reach Bay Head and giant beach front homes. At Point Pleasant you have to head inland again to get over Manasquan river, and then you can pass by 'squan (a blue-collar beach for locals - it has a convenient train stop) and head for Sea Girt and Spring Lake, very nice. It gets more working class for a few towns (Belmar, Avon by the Sea, and Bradley Beach) until you reach Ocean Grove, a town essentially owned by the Methodist Church (when I was a kid you couldn't drive a car in the town on Sundays). It has an old-timey main street. There is a large auditorium that hosts religious revivals and family-friendly events. Check out the cabanas near the auditorium where people virtually camp out in the summertime. Lots of small Victorian style houses, too. Ocean Grove also shares a boardwalk with Asbury Park, a nice uninterrupted stretch along the water. Ocean Grove is "dry" but you can get a beer and catch some music in Asbury, the town Bruce Springsteen made famous. North of Asbury are Allenhurst, Deal, and Elberon, all upscale, ritzy towns. Keep heading north through Long Branch and Sea Bright and turn inland at the Sea Bright Bridge to see Rumson, with maybe the highest per capita income in the state. Mansions aplenty. Cross the Oceanic Bridge over the Navesink River and turn left to follow the river and there is more high-tone real estate. If you turn right you enter the Atlantic Highlands where sit the Twin Lights, high up behind Sandy Hook. Cross Highway 36 and find Eastpointe on Scenic Drive. There is a lookout across Raritan Bay into New York Harbor with views of Manhattan. This was an old "lover's lane" when I was a kid, a place to take a girl and park.

You like visiting Toxic Waste Disasters Zones?

I've always liked Long Beach Island, but I don't know the political affiliation of the island residents, or the seasonal visitors. I would just put the politics aside and enjoy the bike ride. If you're purposely going into a blue state with trump stuff you may just be asking for trouble.

Those counties I mentioned are all in the “Skylands” area. I have no affiliation with that website, just pulled it up randomly looking for something that might give you a better idea of the area. Lots to do and see, especially in the summer and fall.
