I bought one of the black stretchy cloth masks today, and it has a smell. Not a bad smell, per se, maybe a little medicinal, though.

Have any of you noticed a smell about your mask?

Do they put something on it that's supposed to kill germs?

It's not a strong smell, but I definitely smelled something different....and it wasn't like a new cloth smell, either.

I took it off after a few minutes of wearing it, and I don't think I'm going to use it. I may try to get my money back, but it was only $6...but still, I'm not comfortable with it having an odd, not bad, but odd odor.

Get a tube face mask. Its only 99 cents to 6 dollars on ebay, no smell, easiest to breathe in , it rests on your neck till you want to pull it up.

It comes in many cool designs like half skull and roses and flowers for the ladies

I believe its a stretchy polyester but the type thats been around for a long while with zero smell.

Ive tried medical masks, homemade cloth face masks and bandanas.

The medical masks are uncomfortable, Homemade face masks were always made too thick and hard to breathe in and bandanas kept slipping. Tube face masks are the best !

They used to call those buffs I believe. I wear one at work, way better than a mask for what I do.

But no one knows if they treat these black ones with some kind of medicine?....'cause it smelled like some kind medicinal property.

It wasn't a hint of...

tomato purée, raisin paste, distilled vinegar, corn syrup, salt, crushed orange purée, dried garlic and onions, spice, and celery seed...

perchance ?
