IMHO, the Covid-19 pandemic was a deliberate action not unlike what military forces do just before invasion using artillery and air power. Tack on the economic issues that went along with Covid-19 shutting down entire western economies as they fought to stay off the effects of the pandemic on their people. Look at their actions in the China Sea and Hong Kong, Tibet and India. Their open talk of preparing for war. This isn't the China one might expect. It doesn't appear to be the China of Sun Tzu. The question here is this, I read on an Indian publication recently that at that altitude the jets would be limited to a one hour operation time. Why is this? I know high altitudes are hell on helicopters. So is there anyone knowledgeable on aviation that could explain how operating at 14,000 feet limits aircraft? And how would helicopters operate at this altitude? I know personnel have to go through an acclimatization period just to be stationed there. Part of what makes this whole thing interesting. The conditions at the LAC are almost like a standoff on the moon. |

The only way that isn't nonsense is if the fixed wing craft involved are based so far away that their operational time over the combat zone is limited due to time in transit. Virtually any combat fixed wing will have an operational altitude far in excess of 14,000 feet though takeoffs could conceivably be somewhat more dicey on shorter than standard strips. As to rotor craft, the problem would most likely be a lowered maximum lift capacity at peak operating altitudes which could render them less than optimally effective. This is the way the world ends.
