Anonymous Coward User ID: 78445863 United States 05/29/2020 09:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Minneapolis Police Union President Lt. Bob Kroll confirmed on Wednesday that Derek Chauvin — the officer caught on tape resting his full weight on Minnesota man George Floyd’s neck shortly before he died — was not on stage at an October campaign rally held by President Donald Trump. Quoting: Coastie Patriot Despite Twitter’s new approach to “fact-checking” their content, false claims that Chauvin was on stage at a Trump rally went viral and have not been moderated by the platform at the time of this writing. Minneapolis Police Union President Lieutenant Bob Kroll verified that the officer pictured was not Chauvin. Twitter has, and continues to, allow the content to circulate its platform — even by verified users. Despite their new commitment to verifying information, there is no “get the facts” link on the tweets, as has been famously applied to President Donald Trump. They were significantly slower to do the same to China. [link to www.breitbart.com (secure)] Who writes this shit? The cop was wrong, obviously, but anyone watching the videos could see he was not resting his full weight on the guy's neck. Looks like Breitbart needs to check their own facts. |

The cop was wrong, obviously, but anyone watching the videos could see he was not resting his full weight on the guy's neck. Looks like Breitbart needs to check their own facts. You know there was 2 others holding him down while he had his knee on his neck right? I think the cop murdered the guy no doubt about it (just my opinion). But, the facts of the story are incorrect. He did not have his "full weight" on the guy's neck. Was his other knee off the ground? Nope. Was he standing on one foot on the guy's neck with the other off the ground? No. What others did has no bearing on the direct quote of having full weight on the guy's neck. That is an obviously incorrect observation made by a poor pseudo-journalist. Media twists and exaggerates facts. We should not allow it. How many times have you complained about media blowing up facts? Misrepresenting? Outright lying? We must expect media to be impartial and report accurate facts. For God's sake, there is rioting, looting, burning of buildings, perhaps people are even being killed over this as we speak. Yet you are giving your permission to media to exaggerate the facts to make it sound even worse than it was (which was pretty bad) and to incite more violence. Media has got to take some of the blame for these kinds of looting and riot situations if they are not reporting the facts accurately and honestly, but are instead trying to go for sensationalism, and you have to take some of the heat, too, for agreeing that it is OK for them to do that and it leads to even more violence. And you cannot deny the complete irony of Breitbart writing a piece about journalists not checking facts when they don't check their own. |

You can see Floyd turning his head at one point gasping for air, and the officer lean his weight towards his one side forcing his knee further into Floyd which ultimately less then two minutes later Floyd became unconscious You are either dumbass or did not pay attention. Silly peach girl A lot of, the majority of, etc. It's a technicality, I know, but real journalists are trained better than that. Show me the video where the cop actually had his other knee OFF THE GROUND and was not touching anything as he held that one knee with all of his weight on the guy's neck. Didn't happen. Untrue facts and embellishment. So if you come and put your hand on a co-worker's shoulder (male or female) and look over that shoulder at the computer screen, while discussing work, it's OK to charge you with sexual battery for inappropriate touching? Embellishment is embellishment and it's always wrong. People can get hurt in the process. If somebody reads that text and didn't see the video, he could think that a cop pushed the guy down and purposely drop-kneed his neck with all his might and weight, and that could cause further inflammation of the situation. Gotta be truthful in reporting. Now, Breitbart opened themselves up for inciting violence. *Again, understand I am not arguing the validity that the cop did this on purpose, just the wording that Breitbart used. Geesh, put disclaimers on your posts and people are still too dumb to comprehend your point. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77625710 United States 05/29/2020 12:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why are you arguing, the video shows the cop killed him. What the eff is wrong with you, are you on your period and just arguing because it’s that time of month. Good grief |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77625710 United States 05/29/2020 12:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Have you ever wrestled with someone and leaned to one side and putting more force into another human being Your just overweight and never rolled around on the ground with someone Or you are just a skinny gal who does not know the ability of human strength especially in the knee Go back to reading books numbnuts |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78445863 United States 05/29/2020 01:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your dumb. Really. Stating your case for him not leaning all his weight to one side and putting more force into his neck which ultimately stopped blood and oxygen flow. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77625710 Why are you arguing, the video shows the cop killed him. What the eff is wrong with you, are you on your period and just arguing because it’s that time of month. Good grief See, you just proved my point. People do not always comprehend what they are reading and are not always able to decide what is true and what is fiction/embellishment and take that information as they understand it and run with it. I NEVER ONCE said that the cop did not lean and put additional weight on the man's neck. In fact, I mentioned that several times now that he did, and that I thought the cop caused the man's death. My only argument was that Breitbart was not being factual when stating "his full weight" on the man's neck. This just isn't important enough to argue about - why do you persist? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78445863 United States 05/29/2020 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You do not have to lift one leg off from the ground to force your weight to one side. Good lord I wrestled with 4 older brothers my whole childhood Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77625710 I know what it looks like You probably only wrestled with a mosquito in your whole life. Without real world experience. Again, you are putting in things that didn't happen. I never made a claim to be a professional referee. The reporter isn't, either. He cannot make the claim he made. "leaned more weight" or something along those lines is appropriate. You are just arguing to argue. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77625710 United States 05/29/2020 01:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In fact get on the ground and kneel. lean to be side and force that knee into a STACK of pillows without lifting the other knee. You can force all your weight to one side. Very easy experiment to prove yourself wrong. Yet you have not tried it. Very simple to do. I swear lol |
