A man was shot and killed in Louisville after law enforcement said they had to "return fire" at a crowd of people.

He was identified by family members as David McAtee, a popular chef and BBQ joint owner who used to feed cops for free

Metro Council President David James says he wants answers as to why the Ky National Guard was dispatched to an area where locals hang out every night and where there was no protesting taking place.

"I hope.. a beloved figure in the community was not killed over the curfew."

AMAZED that the Democrat mayor of Louisville fired the police chief without even affording him due process! Then again, it was a D mayor so not surprising.

No. He was not in the wrong place at the wrong time. He willfully violated a curfew and put himself right in that place. Then the right time came and he died.

I'm one hell of a critic when it comes to police, but not today. There are riots going on in nearly every city across the Country. Curfews have been put in place in these cities for a damn good reason....to keep the innocent safe. Being former military, i can tell you that whenever there's a curfew established, good people abide by it. Unless it's an emergency. They are usually over with in a few days. When someone breaks curfew, then they are likely doing something they shouldn't be doing, or somewhere that they should not be going. It's simple. I don't know why this happened, but unless good people want to be mistaken for bad, then break a curfew in the middle of a riot. I'm not one for govt intrusion, but this is different. Cops and Soldiers have been put in a war zone within the last few days. They don't know who is friendly and who is not. This is why curfews are established in the first place. If you want a fight then break curfew and engage the officers and warriors who don't want to shoot you, but will. Save your feelings on this one....

Well in this day and age of cameras everywhere lack of accountability and use of deadly force do not mix well. This here is not good. We need info. Were the authorities fired upon. Was there active looting destruction of property? If so can they prove it? What were the rules of engagement? This whole climate of unrest in this country is about to reach a boiling point. Truckers preparing to go on strike. This was a planned catalyst that has achieved critical mass and is now in a domino stage and has the potential to spiral out of control even for the masters that formulated it. Such wildcards like truckers going on strike have an undesired outcome for the powers that be. Minutes from total societal collapse here and I'm like damn the catalyst was this guy of all the wrong happenings? The atmosphere need to be primed for this designed event.
