Convicted felons are not allowed to have firearms. You lost that right when you broke the law. Should've hit him with a bow & arrow instead. Not crossbow, those have triggers... Quoting: Click Here Again that's fascinating, can you point to where in the constitution it says that? |

LOUIS – Police have arrested a St. Louis homeowner who shot and injured a would-be burglar trying to steal copper. The man was alerted by his alarm company to the break-in at his rental property located on Beacon Avenue near West Florissant around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. When he returned to the home he found the suspected thief inside his basement. He shot and wounded the suspect. The homeowner was then arrested because police say he’s a convicted felon who was in possession of a handgun. The injured man was taken to the hospital, where his condition is unknown. Police did not release the name of the injured man or the homeowner. |

You're only a convicted felon while you are serving sentence. Once you pay your debt to society you become a citizen again. |

Arrested because it was an illegal firearm, makes a big difference leaving that out Quoting: Nyblazer Yup. Not arrested for defending his home, arrested for being a convicted felon with a firearm. Is that your psychological opinion, scientist1? I'm not a psychologist, are you trying to stalk me, anonymous coward? |

You're only a convicted felon while you are serving sentence. Once you pay your debt to society you become a citizen again. Read the highlighted part again. WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. Which means they CAN, HAVE & WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO under the legal authority of the law. Second, your interpretation of what constitutes "paying a debt to society" does not encompass the entirety of the sentence. Jail-time is merely a PART of that punishment. You've paid your debt in full when you've taken your last breath as a law abiding citizen post rehabilitation back into society. |

Actually Boomar he Was arrested for defending his home. Wrong. He was arrested for being a convicted felon with a gun. The circumstances under which he had the gun are irrelevant. He just was just illegal for him to do so becaue freedom. Quoting: ACI made no value statement on the merits of outlawing felons from having guns. I made a factual statement on the reason for his arrest. When are you gonna wake the fuck up dumb fuck? Unless it fell from the sky at the moment he pulled the trigger he was in possession of a gun long before he was arrested for being in possession of a gun, which ironically happened after he shot an intruder on his property. |

It's a scientific field, but not astronomy. I also have a strong interest in astronomy and a NASA badge.
