BREAKING! St. Louis homeowner ARRESTED for defending his home against intruders...

ST. LOUIS – Police have arrested a St. Louis homeowner who shot and injured a would-be burglar trying to steal copper.

The man was alerted by his alarm company to the break-in at his rental property located on Beacon Avenue near West Florissant around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

When he returned to the home he found the suspected thief inside his basement. He shot and wounded the suspect.

The homeowner was then arrested because police say he’s a convicted felon who was in possession of a handgun.

The injured man was taken to the hospital, where his condition is unknown. Police did not release the name of the injured man or the homeowner.

surely "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States" means they can't do that.

secondly, once someone has paid their debt to society they are no longer a convicted felon. You're only a convicted felon while you are serving sentence. Once you pay your debt to society you become a citizen again.

Read the highlighted part again. WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. Which means they CAN, HAVE & WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO under the legal authority of the law.

Second, your interpretation of what constitutes "paying a debt to society" does not encompass the entirety of the sentence. Jail-time is merely a PART of that punishment. You've paid your debt in full when you've taken your last breath as a law abiding citizen post rehabilitation back into society.

Unless it fell from the sky at the moment he pulled the trigger he was in possession of a gun long before he was arrested for being in possession of a gun, which ironically happened after he shot an intruder on his property.

I'm not a psychologist. His information was wrong, or more likely, he didn't even understand what my actual field of study is. It's a scientific field, but not astronomy. I also have a strong interest in astronomy and a NASA badge. My new job with NASA has to do with the payloads and experiments being flown, I don't work on the rocket itself.

But the laws must be constitutional and I don't think the constitution mention's depriving some people of their constitutional rights. If Some people can be deprived of their Rights, then All people can be deprived of their Rights.
