Ive never called the police.

Of course, “ we” will only be able to provide protection of life and property in limited zone areas.

911 may get you a firetruck or ambulance, if first responders feel secure about entering your zone.

Defunding the police, of course, will bring criminal court proceedings to a stop. Also, no traffic stops, no DUIs, no speeding or parking enforcement. Surely liberals can find an alternative.

It would be best to get better management of police forces, screen and vet police that are hired much more thoroughly, and not allow politics to control police actions like they are now.



Allowing vigilantes to take the place of police may not work as well as we'd like to think. If all vigilantes are exactly like us, it might work out... But, what if the vigilantes turn out to have opposite values than us?

I called police once when my bicycle was stolen while I picked up some order in a store. They almost laughed at me. But I was a naive new immigrant then and still believed that I moved into advanced society. At least this is what they advertised to me.

I agree with the guy - we don't want vigilante activity.
(the guy in the video is ultimately being sarcastic, though much as what he describes in a literal way would be a wet dream to many)

The guy's point is that we want to keep the police, because vigilante responses would be too insane, crazy and dangerous.

But, stepping beyond that video, we have to improve the management of the police force. And also...detach them from politics. The police are being swayed too much with politics as is shown with this riot.

Turn off the TV. Enter reality. People are actually good. Especially when they feel like their basics are secure.

If society progresses as it should (meaning racists are weeded out), there should be very little need for “law enforcement”

That means the police in your area have been doing a great job of keeping crime to a minimum, so you never had to.

I think the real answer would be quite simple.

They have to determine a threshold of complaints, black marks, etc. proven against LEO's beyond which an officer will be let go and barred from further police work. And they have to standardize it and MAKE the police unions abide by it. Also have an independent watchdog oversight.

It would clear up the problem pretty fast.

Everybody will get a gun.

Even the sweet little old ladies

This will indirectly lead to predominately white towns having to police up. Expect an increase in property taxes.
