I can sleep at night now that someone I've never heard of and don't care enough about to look up has seen the error of her ways and apologized for choosing a hairstyle. Come to think of it...anybody wearing corn rows should be apologizing. |

Quoting: HAWK-03 While the likes of YouTuber Shane Dawson have been forced to issue public apologies after being called out for their past racist behaviour, actress Florence Pugh took accountability and shared a lengthy statement reflecting on the times she has been guilty of cultural appropriation. Explaining that she had spent the past few weeks learning, reading and listening, Florence said that we all "have to look at ourselves and see how we are adding to the problem". Upon reflection, the actress admitted there were areas in her own life she felt were problematic. "One part I have identified in my own actions is cultural appropriation, which came to my attention when a fan last year pointed out a picture of me I had posted back when I was 17." [link to www.yahoo.com (secure)] So now supporting African American contributions to culture is racist? Hard to keep up with the rules. I once enjoyed listening to James Brown when he came on the radio....and for that appropriation I truly apologize. I should have known that everything created by African American culture should be exclusive to that community, and that white people are not to claim it as their own by enjoying and purchasing their products. I should have changed the station whenever an African American artist came on... to prove I'm not racist. Last Edited by Depluribus Unum on 06/29/2020 09:39 AM From many, covfefe |

People have always appreciated other cultures by imitating their fashions, music, food, what have you. Communists hate cultures and traditions, anything to do with creativity and identity and they do their best to wipe that all out once they take over. Their goal is for people to not even remember where and what they came from. They want absolute control, no personal identity allowed. As they are extremely talented at being sneaky bastards (something they take great pride and delight in), they achieve their means by coming up with things like cultural appropriation in order to kill off cultural identity altogether.
