Anyone else? I live in Florida... maybe the saharan dust cloud? Or is it because of wearing my cloth mask? Anyone else feeling like this? Quoting: Kristine45 It's due to post-nasal drip. Probably allergy-induced or, as you mentioned, the Saharan dust. Post-nasal drip causes you to swallow more frequently, which leads to a sore throat. You either need to drink water every time you swallow to help the PND go down more smoothly, or you need to gargle and spit more frequently so that you're not constantly swallowing. I've been dealing with this for years. Nothing else really works until your allergy symptoms subside. |

Post nasal drip can cause bacteria and fungus to be deposited from your nose to your throat I’ve used Dr NealMed sinus rinse for over ten years Use with the salt packets included and one capful of peroxide (3% - about $1 ) Mix and squirt up the nose in the shower )messy) The first time I did it I determined to do it for one week On the 5th, 6th and 7th says some crap came out that might have been in ther for years and years - and I had regular sinusitis and infections every bad season . I haven’t had a serious sinus problem or infection since Ya gotta get that crap OUT! Makes your tongue white in the back - signnof infection- fungus Every time I get a sore throat - like recently I had one from the air conditioning on again - I use it for a day or two and fit as a fiddle after that About $12 WalMart "What are you helping with all this helping?" I'm fighting it with H2O2 sprays and gargling. If it got worse, I would probably add salt water gargles. I tried benedryl at first, but it just leaves me too drowsy. I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |
