Jesus (God) does not want any fake followers so after a 1,000 years of His government He gives the people of earth a last chance to choose Him or choose the devil.
Hard to believe fools will choose Satan but that goes to show just how stupid some people are.

I think the apocryphal book "The Shepherd of Hermas" helps explain that, it seems to describe reincarnation and the different states people are in spiritually....my guess is that after the battle of armageddon, the people that aren't saved at the point are reincarnated back into this "matrix" and there is a 1000 years worth of generations for people to live and redeem themselves and then after that there is another testing period....

remember, satan goes by many names: the devil, michael of nebadon, esu immanuel sananda, legion, beezlebub.......

satan of nebadon will eventually be released for one last time at the end of the millennial kingdom in order for sin/evil to be destroyed once and for all.
