Reminds me of the fuel line in Mexico a couple years back lit up a crowd of a hundred who had been stealing gas all day they were wading waste deep in fuel that was spraying out like a fountain. People running in all directions ablaze. Mortifying

Fuck I always at least touch the end of a gas pump nozzle to the metal of the actual pump stand to attempt a discharge before squeezing the handle. Gasoline freaks me out. Kerosene and diesel not so much. The vapor point of gas is serious.

It looked to me like it flashed from under the hood of the truck out. I'm guessing the spilled gasoline vapors reached the concentration under the hood that allowed it to ignite from the heat of the exhaust manifold. Gasoline vapors of the right concentration will self-ignite (without a spark) if they come in contact with a surface temp of around 500 degrees F or higher. Exhaust manifolds usually run between 725-1100 degrees F during normal engine operation.
