CALIFORNIA: Woman Faces Vandalism Charges For Painting Over BLM Street Mural

I've been happy with the performance of our town's police force. Granted they have not had to deal with BLM, and that's a good thing. But it's all about living with like-minded people in control of your local police force. If you live in a city, the usually leftist city government will control the police.

Defacing Public Property. This couple was the Public, the We, The People part. They knew the risk, it's made a point, and a point I hope doesn't go away. In fact, someone did it just before them. Trend City.

Look, can everyone stop painting on the street and getting out in the middle of the street? Streets are for cars. Markings on the street are to help you drive on the street.

The mayor calls it a "mural" and suddenly it's OK. I'd be in favor of getting rid of all public art displays. If you want to display what you think of as art in your yard, go ahead. But very few pieces of public art will meet with the approval of all members of the public. Even statues of historical figures.

If they can rip down old statues without being arrested, it should be OK to obliterate a giant BM (or is that BLM) on the street.

Road markings are in yellow. If someone can show me what a vertical "BLM" means in the state driver's manual, then it's OK. Otherwise it doesn't belong on a public road.

I bet there is a law against painting in the street over traffic signs and lane designations. That makes the road hazardous and the city could be sued. Just gotta find it.

But they overlooked all of the vandalism done by rioters. Wow.

They charge these people and encourage those destroying historical statues and painting everything with offensive graffiti.

They need to ask people that want to defund the police to opt out. If you want to defund the police, text your local government and give them your name, address, etc. so when you attempt to call, your number is blocked. They need to let the people who want the police to have them. Anyone else can not have the option of calling once you give that up. I can’t stand the hypocracy. Or...they segregate again. Black cops respond to black people only. White people respond to white people only. I actually like the latter because we will see how many black criminals get shot anyway and its not racially motivated.

I like what the other poster said; that painting over it is freedom of expression. People not arrested for burning stuff down and looting....geez.

Article says they had a permit for the BLM "mural" and that the lady is wanted for vandalizing it (assumably city property).
