Hardly deviates. Sometimes I get an amplitude burst with increased volume or the pitch would decrease. One time, the tone disappeared completely for about 30 seconds.

I have come to the assessment the tone is artificially produced because I know no biological system that can routinely maintain such stability at that frequency and reliability through these 5 years which btw happened after cardiac surgery event.

Through the years I have matched the tone I hear with a frequency counter and audio oscillator:

10.5Khz, 11.5Khz and 12.5Khz

The tone varies within this range in both ears.

I heard about that on the news but there was no specific information on what they were hearing from my perspective anyway.
