yeah, after working 9-5 (if lucky no second, part-time job required to pay the mortgage) taking care of the children, mowing the lawn, walking the dog, figuring out taxes etc if self employed, and maybe taking care of elderly parents.... there just doesn't seem enough time to protest.........

It isn’t even just all of the above. Conservatives are not emotionally unstable....most of them as a population. Have you seen the nutcases protesting? The ones causing anarchy, violence, vandalism? They are certifiable. I don’t know if it’s a parenting fault or genetic, but there is something wrong with those people.

Blame it on schools if you want, but I have children in the public system and 2 in college now. They are woke to the left. I don’t even have to tell them...they literally see it themselves. It doesn’t make sense to them.
My son just asked when they were going to cancel “bi sexual” since that is just 2 sexes and should be offensive to the lgbtq community. They see the hypocrisy.

What would happen if both sides saw the game for what it was and united against those who control both sides? What if instead of brother fighting brother, they stood by each other regardless of what box they check on the ballot and marched down the street together?

This. We have fought with words for decades. We have explained the problems with socialism and how it leads to totalitarianism (whether communist or fascist). We have talked about slippery slopes.

What started out as discourse has become the opposite. Dissent to the narrative is shouted down and punished. Differing opinions is now decried as "dangerous" and "evil.

We have watched this happen over decades. We have watched as people we agreed with, or at a minimum didn't disagree with, lost their jobs, standing, lost their lives (both literally and metaphorically). We said something, we argued with our loved ones and coworkers, and were told we were wrong and intolerant. We were told that the MSM doesn't lie, told that politicians are mostly good and are trying to help.

But more and more every day are waking up.

We are actually the tolerant ones, because by and large our morals have restrained us from fighting fire with fire. We have not flexed our muscles nor gone scorched earth. That what the left does. They don't care what gets torn down to achieve their goals.

We do, because we are the ones who build it. And we are loathe to tear it down.

But we will, when pushed to the edge, and they won't like it.

I always questioned if the whole left/right thing was indeed a game with both players actually one in the same. But the recent relentless and hardcore attacks on Trump is pulling me away from that line of thinking.
