It's a great place to live. Yes summer can be brutal, but it's worth the wait for winter. When the rest of the country is facing frigid cold temps and snow, we're having the most awesome weather.

Typical summer for Phoenix.

A few years back they hit 125. Airplanes couldn't take off because tires were melting on the pavement.

Phoenix is a God forsaken shithole. The only reason people move there is for easy degrees, jobs/money, or because you're a drug addict and stuck there.

The last civilization that lived in the Phoenix Valley went Extinct 1000 years ago due to long term drought.

We will too.

The problem is we have paved the entire valley with asphalt and it stays deadly hot at night, never cools down.

Monsoon rains are pushed away from the valley by the rising heat from the pavement.

Not sure about the tires. It's actually due to the hot air over the wings can't create enough lift.

Omg SAME!!! My A/C took a dump and stoppes blowing cool air Thursday, LITERALLY >:·< ! I live in Tucson and my apartment went up to 97° (their A/C company can't come until Tuesday), they finally gave me a portable A/C unit-put it in my window-taped it up like crap and I still feel hot air coming in thru the whole UNTAPED part at the top (I'd "repair" their crappy job, but I'm 4'11"-get dizzy instantly so I'd probably fall and I have no tape except scotch tape. Fun). They set it at 62° and it has been running since Fri night when the finally put it in and my Living room and kitchen are STILL ~87°/88°since.

Smh. My rent is well more than HALF of my income-I'm alone, disabled and homebound with MS and am TERRIFIED to see my electric bill later this month! Broke as a bad joke as it IS! :<

I live in Vegas, my backyard was ready 115 degrees at around 3pm. Went back out at 11 at night and it was still 103.

It's nothing new, just wait until early August!
