DOOM BREAK North Carolina Kayaker close call with an alligator

This happened on Waccamaw River (upper part near Wilmington) and THIS is the reason I never canoed or kayaked down east.

We got some big-ass 'gators and that dude was lucky as fuck.

I agree . I live in Jacksonville , close to the new river .

There are 15 foot beasts in there . They killed a dog eater a few years back that was in the city neighborhood canals .

He is in the Sneads Ferry museum . Easily Will kill a man !

I had no idea there were gators in North Carolina. Stay outta the water!

The fact that he didn’t scream his head off and hide in the bushes all day was a miracle. He Made a decision to get the heck.outta there and went for it.

That alligator full on charged and flipped him upside down. Dang! PTSD would have ruined me.

I've never heard there were gators in NC, South, yes, but not North.

And I'm from the southern area of Virginia originally. We kept aware of stuff like that. Because we have water moccasins, ya know.

When did gators get established in NC? Did someone release them there?
