One of my step brothers was very heavily into skateboarding at the time. I was way too apprehensive about it. Mostly because I was deathly afraid if my father somehow found out about this he would literally beat me to death. After all for many years I was his most favorite hacky sack and punching bag. So I would become so light headed on a skateboard that I could not do anything but seize up mentally and emotionally. It took me a long time to break myself away from that level of intense fear. The closest I ever got to real skateboarding was using like any other skateboarder's most minimalist efforts. Oh well... Still that sucks for that black dude.
