Pyramids were impossible

Although if we carry the math further and assume 20,000 workers then each worker would have been responsible for just 90 pounds a day. That's about a half a cubic foot of stone.

Suddenly that doesn't sound so far fetched.

The great pyramid is said to have been built in 20 years. It is also said to weigh 6.5 million tons.

If we take the aforementioned information as fact then it would mean that workers would have had to quarry, finish, move, and install 1.8 million pounds of stone each and every day of the year for 2 decades.

Furthermore, the granite used for everything besides the facade came from 500 miles away.

This seems a bit implausible to me.

Vast amounts of indirect work would have been required besides just the 1.8 million pounds of rock a day. The tools had to made and the raw materials for them sourced. The workers had to be fed. Barges built and maintained. So on and so on.

There are some parts of the chambers inside the Great Pyramid which, put simply, could not be constructed by hand. Even today we cannot replicate the fine seams between some of those shaped stones without using power tools. Some of the seams between these huge blocks are so fine that you can barely see them. You cannot achieve that kind of precision with hand held copper tools and plumb bobs.

The Granite used in the construction of the pyramids was transported from the Aswan Quarry which is over 500 miles away. It's the same quarry which has a 1,100 kg obelisk half cut out of the Granite. Granite is so hard that steel can't cut it (likely wouldn't even mark it) so these days we use power saws which are carbide or diamond tipped.

I get the feeling that modern humans think ancient humans were dumber than we are. They weren't. They weren't as technically advanced in some areas as we are, but may have been more advanced in others.

Just because you personally can't wrap your brain around something doesn't make it not true.

This guy moves massive weights by hand using simple engineering techniques. Now imagine what a whole nation mobilized on a massive national pride project could do.

Sure. It posits the use of water and flotation to both soften the stones for cutting/shaping/leveling and transport to the site for specific placement. Once the blocks are floated using hollowed wood, papyrus mats or inflated animal bladders the stone can be floated within sealed columns of water up to the working level which is also a contained reservoir which is level by level added upwards.
