Where would you go if an asteroid was about to hit?

Where would you go if an asteroid was about to hit?
If you knew the exact time that an asteroid was going to hit, where would you go? Would you stay in your home with your preps? Or go to a place with high elevation, like a mountain or a tall building? Or go to an underground sewer or cave? Or find a building that can withstand a strong shockwave? Or somewhere out in the open so that nothing could collapse on you?
I'm curious to know what everyone's plans would be if something like this were to happen.

my uncle says that if you jump up in the air just before it hits, you don't get hurt. same as if yore in a falling elevator just jump up in the air just before it hits. and you dont get hurt. same thing. so do that!

I have struggled with this. Have lots of "prepper" stuff, and it would be interesting to hang out amongst a bunch of wreckage, but then I remember I don't like it here and want to leave. Constantly going back and forth on which I prefer more.
