Re: Something's fishy about the Beirut explosion
The over-pressure of the explosion pushes things away from the blast zone but then the negative pressure sucks everything back in towards the blast zone as it returns back to normal atmospheric pressure.

To understand this concept better, watch an underwater explosion video. You'll see how the water initially expands due to the blast force and then the pressure equalizes and the water rushes in right back to fill the empty space.

Again, that’s just a retarded reply. How stupid really...

Why are you ignoring the fact that those are not real cars?

Kind of blows your idiotic reasoning right out the window doesn’t it.

after the explosion a bunch of air went up because it got hot. that made cold air suck in at ground level. which flipped over them cars. problem solved. laws of psychics not broken!!!

Yes this. If anything it proves this was a Nuke. Shit like that only happens with nukes.

Nope, wrong.
Hyperbaric fuel-air explosives or similar do exactly the same thing, with zero radioactivity.

Yeah, you can view the footage of nuke tests we did on structures, whole lotta sucking and pushing going on.

Physics is cray, yo.

Study up.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 66594553

Any time a shockwave that strong goes out, there is a powerful rush of air back in to fill the void. Yes, I believe that this could be what happened. I do not think it was a nuke, though. No reports of radiation or radiation burns.

Still no one cares that the cars are fake?

They’re just props.

No amount of pressure from a bomb blast no matter what your reasoning is, is going to lift a two tonne vehicle and drag it up the side of a roadside barrier.

Those vehicles were placed there...

A NITROGEN TANK EXPLODED YOU BUNCH OF TARDS
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50007507

And created a vapour mushroom cloud over 800 metres high?

And sent a shockwave for miles in all directions?

And flipped over cars in the wrong direction?

Must have been a hell of a tank.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79228542

nitrogen gas doesnt explode, they use it when shipping flammable gasses, ie butane and propane, they use double lined tanks and the outer tank has the nitrogen in in case the inner tank ruptures the gas cant explode.

nitrogen based fertilizers on the other hand, stand the f**k back

Not nuclear. No flash. Speed of the blast wave is too slow.Video equipment did not exhibit characteristics of the associated pulse.

Ammonium nitrate propagates at approximately 2700FPS. Time the wave and figuring in energy loss as it moves, you are likely looking at something more than straight AN. AN is an oxidizer and needs a fuel to be truly effective.
