Lol i have a friend heading to Maine soon, i just told him the other day he should be fine since he was just passing through, he did say if NY was doing anything stupid with out of state drivers he would cancel the trip and go south instead, here that Maine, NY is costing you $$$

As of six months ago it was the most important city in the country, probably the world. If you took a worldwide poll, it would have been the winner. London maybe close, but finance has moved from London mostly to NY.

Now? Having a communist mayor is a big disadvantage. I am sure the world is aghast that he and governors in neighboring NJ and PA would intentionally murder their old people in nursing homes.

I'd say the title of world's most important city could be up for grabs. But cities generally are deprecated, because of Covid and people getting used to doing stuff remotely.

The whole city will turn into a toxic dump / ghetto and no one will work there, so yeah, it'll die.

Don't go thru NYC! Take the Garden State Parkway or, just before crossing the George Washington Bridge (as in 500 feet before the toll booths) get off into Fort Lee NJ, go north a little, then get on the Palisades Parkway. You have to do this last one just right because second chances are costly, but it's my favorite. Anyway the Palisades Parkway looking across the Hudson is going to be the most scenic part of his drive, if he can manage to get onto it.

Hell it would be good if they just jumped back in the middle.

Finance family here from Manhattan - we've been at out place in the Poconos since March. we're going to let out the apartment we rent go b/c we probably aren't going back.

Several friends of ours in our neighborhood rented places out by us and none of them want to return.

THose who own their apartments are looking to sell and many are moving colorado or costa rica.

Anyway, the crime in manhattan is out of control. People who just came out here to pennsy were telling me that people are laying on the sidewalks with needles in their arms. The homeless are everywhere.

NYC is not going back to normal. No one is going back if they don't have to. I voted Trump, all our aquaintances are liberals and even they are saying that "The city has been turned over to the criminals", "We need to get out of there before it's worth nothing".

Cuomo destroyed NY, people fled to their condos in florida and are never coming back

Well you haven't been able to enter Maine all along, for weeks now, or some other northeatern states!
