Now, It's one of the last.

I was thinking about when I really wanted to travel and see places and it was around 9/11 shit really started to change and I became less and less interested in traveling.

Yeah... these things are supposed to be incredibly rare Mega-Storms, but they are very rapidly becoming increasingly more common place... Once upon a time supercell severe storms used to be incredibly rare, but nowadays they are very common place planet wide. The Illuminati is showing us all on Earth the Mega-Storms they are fully capable of spawning anywhere, anytime on Earth. Well, at least for the time being they seem to be limited to what season it is at the time that is.

I have heard quite a few stories about the rats as big as cats at those restaurants & wondered why anyone would eat there.

Ah. I have been seeing more severe storms going through Canada this year than any other year so far. So maybe your area of Canada, AC, is just plain lucky. I do not know for sure. As it starts to cool off sometime next month this same wickedly powerful severe weather will impact North Texas again. If it will be anything like it was earlier this year then wow! Things are going to get wicked quick out here and stay wicked for weeks or months straight!
