Canadians have always hated Americans.
This is not new.

And why not, Americans don't care much for Canadians either. My family moved from Canada to the US a long time ago because they didn't like Canadians, if that makes any sense to you (sort of like people moving from New York because they don't like it anymore).

When I moved from California I got my new plates before I drove my cars to my new state. I didn't want anyone to make an incorrect assumption.

A big part of it is most canadians hate trump with a passion. He is seen as the reason that covid is running rampant in the US and canadians dont want the same situation to happen here. Americans are the zombies in the apocalypse, and canadians are just defending themselves.

Absolute bullshit. I have American relatives, I lived in Green Bay for a time, I have no problems with Americans as a whole.

I have problems with INDIVIDUAL Americans, but that's just like anywhere else - I have problems with individual CANADIANS as well.

Most Canadians aren't ignorant enough to hate a whole country on principle, at least none that I know. Maybe some are, who knows? If so, they're worse than those they profess to hate.

And if you believe that "Canadians hate Americans" blanket statement, you're just as bad.

I've been to Canada once.. The airport personnel were rude and condescending. The people walking the streets weren't much better. Greeting someone with a simple 'hello' will get you death looks. Such an unfriendly and unwelcoming place.
