Current leadership of Israel has been itching for war with Iran for a long time, and so have the Saudis and the rest of the GCC (gulf cooperative council). It's just a common interest. All this "treaty" means is that Israel will be allowed to use UAE airbases for staging an attack on Iran, instead of flying all the way from Israel. The Saudis in the past gave Israel a "green light" to use their airspace one way for a strike on Iran. |
