I've never felt it right to post music, but I've had no sleep and this feels 'right' for this thread, for this time.

Please forgive me if I'm wrong. You are all in my prayers and I cannot sleep and this song 'just fits'.

That first step we take is the longest stride.

I can't stop crying tonight for all of us, for all of humanity. This song made me call the preacher that was my school bus driver in elementary school five decades ago.

I told him I love him and am the man I am today because of him and all he taught me. And that if no one ever told him that, I wanted him to know that he had touched countless lives while here and that God loves him. He remembered me and cried that someone would call him to tell him that after so many decades.

I owe him my life. How could no one else call him?

If I won he lotto I would do the same as the man in this video. What good is money if you don't use it to help others?

Reading the posts and sending out prayers to all. I always worry that if I write names, I might forget someone!

so just know anyone who reads this is being thought of. It is a big wide world out there!

I think, and it is my thought on the subject and no one elses, that a blanket prayer for those on the thread suffices for prayer? It kind of seems like the point of a prayer thread! So we cover all bases in one line of code encompassing all. In instances of great personal need, I tend to do a spontaneous prayer for the person, but as a daily ritual. I just pray for all here. I dunno, I could be off base.

My FIL is now considered a Covid patient and they've put him on a vent and won't allow anyone in.

My MIL is a pretty untenable woman and my husband's not spoken to her in more than a year. She hates me for marrying him and has been really nasty with what she says to our kids about me. So there's a great deal of pain and emotional turmoil presenting for my husband and our eldest who's there with his grandmother.

I'm asking for specific prayer.

I'm praying that Yah send his mightiest messengers to surround my FIL and that Yah heals him for His glory so the man, who's been a good man, can go home and live in peace and pass in his sleep at the time appointed and not die at the hands of the medical establishment to enlarge their coffers with the Covid funding. I pray for a miracle so that Yah receives all the glory and praise and that it's a testament to the power and might of Yah...through His Son, Yeshua the Messiah who gave everything so that we might be restored to a right relationship with Yah.

My Mrs. has had no sense of taste or smell for two months and I have asked her to be tested.

Her doctor's office would not allow her in today for her appointment when she told them that. [She blames me for telling her to tell them].

Now she needs to go get a COVID-19 test and have proof of negative results before she may go to her doctor or any appointments at the regional medical center we use.

For reasons I won't mention I am certain I am immune to most illnesses [but not all] so I'm not worried for me but for her.

She is stubborn enough she may not get the test, will allow her prescriptions for her medications to run out and then die.

I have no idea how to deal with that. She is quite ill today wearing a rut in the carpet to the bathroom. I pray that tomorrow she will go get tested.

Prayer works, but we know that!

She is taking her medications and has apologized for her very ill behavior yesterday.

I believe she learned something.

It is good that you kept after her and that she is cooperating.

My only issue with that is if she is found positive and is getting very ill she will be in the hospital and I won't be able to see her.

When she was in there for weeks in the Spring of 2019 she was unconscious from pain meds most of the time so I spent my free time in the security office with the Sheriff's Deputies and Security Director.

I don't believe that is now an option for me.

Yes, they told her she may go to "Patient First" clinics and some other one we never heard of. We used Patient First in the past so she's good on that.

If she is positive I believe I get thirty or sixty days leave to care for her. I won't use it, but it will be nice to know I can take some days off if needed without affecting my leave and vacation balances.
