There is certainly a zip of quakes along the San Andreas that gets quiet up by the bay area. Mt Tam a giant serpentine wedge holds the fault at bay literally. It tends to lock the SAF and when the lock is released you get 1906 SF Quake.
Pt, Reyes is an anomaly on the Pacific plate as a result of all this wedging and locking. Tomales bay is a fault bay just take a look at it in Google earth. This deep fissure has always moved significantly but thankfully not often.

Supposed to be today. We shall see if Frankie is correct. I really pray that he isn't!
